21 Week Ultrasound

After weeks of waiting (getting my "big ultrasound" at 18 weeks with Ev made the wait until 21 weeks with Top Gun seem like forever) we have a healthy baby!  Everything checks out, all organs in place, 10 fingers and 10 toes, spine perfect and growing according to schedule.

We did find out the gender but are keeping it quiet until Saturday because my awesome cousin offered to make a gender reveal cake for us and my mom's side of the family was already getting together for Christmas then, and for cake we can keep a secret for a few days (that being said it is ridiculously hard to write without pronouns).

It was mostly cooperative for the hour while they checked everything, the only shots we had a hard time getting were a few of the heart but we finally got it to move the way we needed it to.  It likes to be curled up, even though it still has some space.  I had suspected as much just from where I felt it at but didn't realize quite how twisted up this kid likes to be.  Ev got to see it all which was awesome.

The "butt shots" aren't included in this.  They make it a little too easy to tell what it is.....

Also kinda funny the first thing baby did when they put the ultrasound wand on my stomach was pee......not sure what kinda message that sends.

It kept it's fists together and arms crossed for most of the ultrasound.

We have a foot.

Kinda creepy, face profile....it's sticking it's tongue out at us.

Now mouth is wide open.
