New Blog

Five and half years ago, from my hospital bed, I took my first stab at blogging.  Ev was in the NICU, I was on an adrenalin high, and the hospital had decent wireless, seemed like a perfect time. After reading my cousin's blog I wanted to copy her idea and use it as a way to keep everyone updated as Everett grew up.  I expected maybe three readers (my mom, grandma, and an alternating sister).  But the blog turned out to be more then that, it turned into the most fantastic baby book I could have ever made and I'm so glad I have a journal of everything we've done the lasts five years. 

That being said, I was really good about it for the first 2 1/2 years, and then after the move and life turning upside down I became way less faithful about blogging.  So....after another major life change it seemed like a great time to get back into it.  I know I'm his mom so I'm a little biased, but I have a hilarious five year old and I want a record of it.  There is no way I'm going to remember all of the stuff we do.  Plus, lets face it, I think most of the world is tired of my facebook status updates being entirely made up of funny things he says so I can alleviate a lot of that by putting them on the blog.

But, continuing the "life of little Ev" didn't seem right.  Especially because I now spend so much time trying to show Everett that the world doesn't revolve around him, and my family is more then just one incredible little boy.  So, it's time to archive that blog and start a blog for the new Hutches Family. 

After a month of marriage we are finally getting the boxes unpacked and feeling like we are making a little headway towards getting settled.  Our new family is amazing, so much more then I could have ever imaged and I can't wait to record and share a little of our goings on.
