"The first day of school was AWESOME!" - said Everett as he climbed in the car following his first day. That was pretty much all I got. He was also slightly concerned that they didn't do any math yet and processing that it's real school and "we don't get to play anymore except for Recess."

For those that were wondering....mom only teared up a little while dropping him off. Not wanting to be "that mom" I focused more on the fact that I had no idea what was going on. Ev dealt with the transition just fine, me on the other hand wanted the half sheet of paper that explained exactly what he was doing today and anything else I needed to know (I'm very used to his preschool teacher Mrs. Davis' system and I liked it). Apparently that all comes at the parents meeting....on Tuesday...yeah that's a long time.
