Build a castle at frozation nation

Getting a selfie with all three of us and the gold man on the capital building is harder then it looks....we finally got it with the top of Ev's head.  That counts right?

Waiting for the race to start.

Saturday we participated in the Great Salem Race.  It was sponsored by the Salem Young Professionals group which Jamie is a part of so we decided to give it a try.  The point of the event is to get to know downtown Salem better so they give each team clues and tasks to complete at each location and then the team with the best time wins, basically it's a giant scavenger hunt.

Total honestly we put 0% effort into preparing for this.  Other teams had matching shirts, costumes, and looked pretty intense. Yeah....we looked kinda like we were going to mall.  No joke Jamie and I were both debating wearing flip flops.  Glad we didn't because it ended up being pretty intense and a lot of fun.  We finished about middle of the pack, but we beat some of the families that I though were going to wipe the floor with us so I considered it a win.  When it was all said and done we did about 6 miles in less then two hours all over town and Ev walked the whole way by himself with very little whining, so proud of him!  This is without a doubt something we are doing next year, super fun...and we really have to remember to make shirts.
